#What is Brainscore? Brainscore is a rather complex performance, which investigates the possibility of acting in Virtual Reality and communicate with the audience without using the physical body as medium of communication. That's the reason why we define the event as "incorporeal communication" or using the neologism "bodyless".

#Who is behind the project? The two authors Janez Janša and Darij Kreuh together with several institutional and non-institutional partners carried out the project. The production company is Forum Ljubljana leaded by Eva Rohrman and the main co-producer is the Ljubljana's Cultural and Congress Center Cankarjev dom. Tadej Fius took care about the programming part meanwhile Iztok Lapanja developed the eye-tracking system at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science of the University of Ljubljana.

#Who supported the project? Financially the project was supported by The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, The City of Ljubljana - Department of Culture, The Open Society Fund - Slovenia. The Kapelica Gallery, KID Kibla , Ljudmila and several private sponsors also materially supported the project.

#Where the project was developed? The majority of it was done at Forum Ljubljana's place, at Metelkova, except for the eye-tracking system that was developed by Iztok Lapanja at the Computer Structures and Systems Laboratory of the Faculty of Computer and Information Science at the University of Ljubljana.

#What do people see when they attempt the Brainscore performance? The audience assist to a kind of a "game" that happens in Virtual Reality between the avatars of the two performers. Due the stereo projection and with the help of polarized glasses, they will perceive the elements of the performance (virtual objects) as they would be in the middle of the hall, between the two performers.

#Is Brainscore system totally autonomous in all senses? At this stage of the work the operators lead the majority of the performance but there are some secondary commands triggered by our assistant. Those are, for example, commands that lead from the first to the second phase of the performance, some basic movement of the virtual camera and the command that ends the performance.
Nevertheless, in the future version of Brainscore, the two performers will also trigger these basic commands.

#Where and when it was presented first? The first time Brainscore was presented at the Cultural and Congress Center Cankarjev dom in the capital city of Slovenia, Ljubljana. The premiere took place in a suggestive arena hall called Štihova Dvorana in September 21st, 2000 at 9.00 P.M. Later on we did four repetition and several afternoon workshops.

#Where is going to be the next performance? To keep up dated with our venues you can check out the following link: http//www.brainscore.org/nextvanues.html

#Is it possible to experience your incorporeal communication system? Yes, it is. Normally together with the performance we offer workshops during which it is possible to test our system and specifically the eye-movement tracking system and the neurofeedback.
